You want to float the Frio River and don't know where to start? If you have yet to, you HAVE to float #teamJoshs! We would love to take you out on your expedition. Josh started "Josh's" when he was just 11 years old and has perfected #floatingtheFrio. I've been working alongside him since we started dating and its such a dream to live the #riverlife with him. Let us make it easy peasy for you. Come by Josh's in Concan and for $15 flat, we can make it happen. Yes! That includes, tube, shuttle, drop off, pickup and parking at our shop. A fun filled day on the Frio. We offer float trips on the most beautiful stretches of the Frio River. Have your own tube? No problem we can shuttle you and your personal tube for $10. Keep in mind for the $15 you will get a commercial grade float and not have the hassle or expense of purchasing, hauling and airing up the store-bought one. We are happy to get you to the Frio River either route you decide to take. We also rent cooler tubes for your personal cooler to make sure you stay hydrated on your float trip.
Frio River Floating Essentials
I often receive phone calls with the following questions: "What is allowed on the Frio River?" or "What do I need to bring?"
Here's the thing, we have an ultra pristine, gorgeous, Crystal Clear spring fed river. We want to keep it the way God intended it to be. For your safety, others safety and the river's safety, absolutely no glass or styrofoam are allowed in the Frio River. We will happily supply a free mesh trash bag that can be taken on your float trip to dispose of personal trash (cans, wrappers, etc.) and will take it for free upon the completion of your trip. Here's a short list of my essentials. Keep in mind these items are not required, they will just make your Frio River float trip even more enjoyable. You may get all of these items beforehand or have the convenience of picking them all up at Josh's just before your float. We call ourselves river outfitters for a reason and always have a great stock of great gear that is made for our river. We have everything needed to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Frio River and want your vacation to be the best one possible.

Quality Water Shoes The river rocks can be difficult to walk on especially in flip-flops. (Regular water shoes will barely make it through the weekend if that, ours at Josh's are $20.99 and a solid construction that will last more than one season).

We are open 7 days a week. Just show up with a smile and we will take you to float the Frio River in style in one of our shuttle trucks or busses. On your trip you will experience a long stretch of the Frio River, the views are phenomenal and the water is so refreshing, especially on a warm summer day. If you have floated other Texas rivers, but never the Frio River it is a must. Gorgeous cypress trees line the white river rock banks. If your lucky you will also see some of the native wildlife. After your luxurious float trip, you have to stop by our in house coffee and gelato shop for a sweet and refreshing treat.
